Dried Shrimp Chilli Paste
I made one step forward for making my own ingredients today – Dried Shrimp Chilli Paste. As usual, I use Thermomix to blend and cook. The whole process took only 25 mins +. I updated this blog post while waiting for the machine to complete job. Easy!
- 50g dried chillies (soak in water until soften)
- 50g shallots
- 5g garlic cloves
- 30g dried shrimps
- 50g water
- 70g cooking oil
Ingredients B for Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
|1) Place all ingredients A except water into TM bowl to blend.
|2) Scrape down sides sides of wall and blend one more time.||Yes||10 sec||0-10|
|3) Add oil to fry until fragrant.||Yes||20 mins||V||2|
|4) Add water and seasoning, continue to fry.||Yes||5 mins||100c||1|
You can now transfer the paste to a botol or container and store it for future usage.
How to eat the shrimps chilli paste? One way is to place the paste onto 1 piece of fried fish. It taste just so delicious with such a simple dish!
