I came across a TV show 吾淑吾食 presented by Madam Wong on how to make hamburger for a party. After watching it, I was tempted to try it out using my Thermomix machine. It was surprisingly easy to make! This would mean that I can reduce my visit to McDonald as I am always skeptical about the food safety of the beef burger offered.
Guys, even if you do not have a Thermomix, it is easy to make. Start to make your own burger, if you like, you can follow my recipe (recipe adapted from 吾淑吾食) below:
Image below shows ingredients for the Burger Patty
- 800g Minced Pork
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Onions
- 1 cup breadcrumps
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 tsp salt
- Pepper to taste
- Few pieces of Sang Choy
- 1-2 Tomatoes
- 6 hamburger buns
- 6 pieces of cheese
Place garlic and onion in bowl and chop - 3-5 secs on speed 7
Scrape down sides with spatula and repeat if necessary.
Weigh mince in bowl.
Add remaining ingredients.
Mix all ingredients with measuring cup in place - counter-clockwise operation on speed 3 for approx 30 secs or until combined. Add more breadcrumbs if too wet.
Use spatula to remove mince mixture and make patties to your own preference. Refrigerate for about 25 minutes.
Weigh about approx 120grams per dough, press the dough into patty shape and ensure they are all uniform and cook evenly.
Fry in a pan with some butter until it is cooked.
Once you have the burger patty, just place it into burger buns along with other vegetables, cheese etc. Now you can enjoy eating your burger!
